Product Description:
This is a topical pesticide product containing the active ingredient imidacloprid.Indications for Use: This product can be used for the prevention and control of fleas.
Dosage and Administration: In smaller animals, Advantage is applied topic-ally to the surface of the skin between the shoulder blades. In larger animals, the product is applied not only to the shoulder blade region, but is also placed in two or three additional locations on the back. The product should be administered directly on the skin surface and not on the hair. Advantage comes in four different sizes for use in animals of different weights. The instructions on each individual package should be read to identify the proper dosing.
It is recommended that this product be used once a month; however, in areas where flea problems are severe, Advantage can be given more often. This product should not be given more often than once per week. The effectiveness of Advantage will not be altered by bathing the animal or by exposure to rain.
Precautions and Side Effects: Advantage should only be used in dogs that are greater than 7 weeks of age. Do not use this product with other pesticides. If skin irritation or other problems arise with the pet, consult a veterinarian immediately. If the product contacts the skin or eyes of a person associated with the pet, immediately flush the areas with water. If accidental ingestion occurs, drink liquids and contact poison control immediately.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
