Dermalone^™ Ointment

Product Description: This is an ointment that contains an anti-fungal (nystatin), an antibiotic (neomycin sulfate), and an anti-inflammatory agent (triamcinolone acetonide).

Indications for Use: Dermalone can be used to treat ear infections, anal sac problems, and some skin infections.

Dosage and Administration: The frequency with which the ointment is applied depends on the problem being treated. Veterinarians may prescribe the product to be administered anywhere from once a week to 3 times a day. The following are some general guidelines:

For ear or skin problems: It is recommended that Dermalone be applied twice daily for a week. Place 3 to 5 drops on the affected area and the area massaged.

For anal sac treatment: After the sac is emptied, the entire sac should be filled with the ointment.

Precautions and Side Effects: This product should not be used if the ear drum is damaged. Because it contains a steroid, use of this product may not protect against the spread of infection. If signs continue to get worse, or if the animal experiences any increase in thirst, urination, or weight gain, discontinue use.

Packaging: Dermalone comes in 7.5, 15, and 30 mL bottles or in an 8 ounce tube.

Storage: Store at room temperature.
