Product Description:
This is a solution containing calcium, dextrose (sugar), potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium.Indications for Use: CMPK is to be used in weak or down cows suffering from grass tetany.
Dosage and Administration: Slowly, administer the entire bottle (500 mL) IV. If necessary, a second bottle can be given with caution. Contents should be administered using aseptic conditions. (See precautions.)
Packaging: This product comes in 500 mL bottles.
Precautions and Side Effects: A second bottle of calcium can be administered slowly if the condition of the cow does not significantly improve with the first bottle. The animal’s heart should be carefully monitored with a stethoscope throughout administration of the second bottle of CMPK. If irregular or skipped beats occur, discontinue administration immediately! Death can occur if calcium is given too quickly.
Storage and Shelf Life: Keep in a cool, dry place. Use the entire contents after opening the bottle.
