Before
using many of the intramammary products, it is recommended that the
udder be completely milked out and cleaned. Many products come with
alcohol swabs that can be used to clean the teat end.
Each
teat end should be thoroughly cleaned with an individual swab.
Once
the teat has been cleaned, the product tip can be inserted and the
medication administered. After administering the product, massage
the quarter to help distribute the medication.
