Product Description: This product is a killed vaccine for use in the prevention of respiratory diseases caused by Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-4 and EHV-1) and Equine Influenza (both North American and Eurasian A1 and A2 strains). Conforms to the 3 dose regimen recommended by the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP).
Dosage and Administration: Give 2 mL, IM, to healthy horses 6 months of age or older. Give a second 2 mL dose 2 to 4 weeks after the first dose, using a different injection site. Administer a third 2 mL dose in 3-4 weeks IM or intranasally. Revaccinate annually and prior to anticipated exposure either IM or intranasally. See pages A905 and B360 for a vaccination schedule and administration techniques.
Packaging: This product comes in 2 mL, prefilled syringes, or 10 doses in a 20 mL vial.
Precautions and Side Effects: A local tissue reaction and/or swelling may occur at the injection site. An allergic reaction is also a concern. Safe for use in pregnant mares.
Storage and Shelf Life: This product must be refrigerated prior to use. Store in the dark and avoid freezing.
