Product Description:
This is an antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram negative and gram positive organisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E.coli and Proteus mirabilis).Indications for Use: Amp-Equine is used for the treatment of general respiratory, skin and soft tissue infections.
Dosage and Administration: Give 1 mL per 100 lbs. of body weight, IV or IM, twice each day.
Duration of Treatment: After all symptoms have subsided, continue to treat for 48 hours. If the animal shows no response within 4-5 days, re-evaluate the diagnosis.
Packaging: This product comes in 1 and 3 gram bottles that should be reconstituted immediately before use. Reconstitute the 1 gram bottle with 2.6 mL of sterile water, and the 3 gram bottle with 7.6 mL of sterile water.
Precautions and Side Effects: Minor irritation at the injection site may occur. Allergic reactions are also a possibility. For use in horses only.
Storage and Shelf Life: This product should be used immediately after reconstitution.
