Product Description:
This is an antibiotic that is a combination of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine, effective against E.coli, Streptococcus, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, and others.Indications for Use: This product is for use in the treatment of strangles, urinary infections, respiratory tract infections, wound infections, and abscesses.
Dosage and Administration: Once a day, give 2 mL, IV, per 100 lbs. of body weight. Treat for 5 to 7 days. The daily dose may be divided, giving half in the morning and evening.
Duration of Treatment: Continue treatment for 2 to 3 days after clinical signs have subsided. If no improvement is noted in 3-4 days, additional professional advice should be sought.
Packaging: This product comes in 100 mL bottles.
Precautions and Side Effects: Allergic reactions are a possibility. Make sure animals maintain adequate water intake during treatment.
Storage and Shelf Life: Store in a cool dry place.
Meat Withholding: Not for use in horses intended for food.
