Product Description: This is an antibiotic-sulfa combination (trimethoprim-sulfadiazine) effective against a wide range of bacteria.
Indications for Use: Tucoprim can be used in the treatment of general bacterial infections including acute strangles, acute urinary tract infections, pneumonia, diarrhea, wound infections, and abscesses. It is well tolerated by foals.
Dosage and Administration: Give one level scoop (15 g) per 440 lbs. orally in a small amount of palatable feed once a day.
Duration of Treatment: Continue to treat at least 2-3 days after resolution of symptoms.
Packaging: This product comes in 200 gram bottles of powder.
Precautions and Side Effects: Allergic reactions are a possibility.
Storage and Shelf Life: Store in a cool, dry place.
Meat Withholding: This product is not for use in horses intended for food.
