Product Description:
This product is a bronchodilator.Indications for Use: This product is used for treatment of horses with respiratory problems including pneumonia, influenza, and COPD.
Dosage and Administration: Give .5 mL per 100 lbs. of body weight, orally, twice a day for 3 days. If there is no improvement, give 1.0 mL per 100 lbs. body weight, twice per day for another 3 days. Dosages can be increased up to 2.0 mL per 100 lbs. If there is no response, treatment should be discontinued.
Duration of Treatment: The duration of treatment should not exceed 30 days. At the end of 30 days, the drug should be withdrawn and the animal should be observed for recurrence of signs. If signs return, the 30 day treatment may be repeated using the increasing dosage schedule.
Packaging: Ventipulmin is available in 100 and 330 mL plastic bottles.
Precautions and Side Effects: Sweating, hives, muscle tremors, and increased heart rates may be observed during the first few days of treatment. This product should not be given to pregnant animals or in horses suspected of having cardiovascular impairment.
Storage and Shelf Life: Store in a cool, dry place and avoid freezing.
Meat Withholding: Not for use in horses intended for food.
