Product Description: These are ointments/creams that contain an anti-fungal (nystatin), an antibiotic (neomycin sulfate), and an anti-inflammatory (triamcinolone acetonide).
Indications for Use: These products can be used in preventing skin infections and proud flesh development. The use of these products in horses would be considered extra label.
Dosage and Administration: How often the ointment is applied depends on the problem being treated. Some veterinarians may prescribe the product to be administered anywhere from once a week to twice a day. The following are some general guidelines:
Precautions and Side Effects: Because it contains a steroid, use of this product may increase the spread of infection. If signs continue to get worse or the wound does not heal, discontinue use.
