Product Description: This is a broad spectrum de-wormer that is effective against liver flukes, tapeworms, stomach worms, intestinal worms, and lungworms.
Dosage and Administration: Valbazen comes as an oral suspension that should be dosed according to the animal’s weight. Sheep should be given the de-wormer at 0.75 mL per 25 pounds of body weight (3.4 mg of albendazole per pound). This means that a 50 pound animal will receive 1.5 mLs of Valbazen. Some reports indicate that a dose of 10 mg/kg (4.5 mg/lb) may be necessary to control certain parasites.
Not approved for use in goats. Refer to extra-label drug use.
Packaging: This product comes in 1 liter containers and each mL of Valbazen contains 113.6 mg of albendazole.
Precautions and Side Effects: This product should not be administered to female animals in the first 30 days of pregnancy or within 30 days after the breeding males are removed.
Storage and Shelf Life: Shake well and store at a controlled room temperature.
Milk Withholding: Not established for dairy animals.
Meat Withholding: 7 days
