Product Description:
This is a vaccine for the prevention of Clostridium perfringens types C & D in sheep and goats.Dosage and Administration: Give 2 mLs subcutaneously (SQ) or intramuscularly (IM). This dose should be repeated 3-4 weeks later. In most cases, vaccinate all lambs/kids from vaccinated mothers at 6-8 weeks of age with a Clostridium perfringens type C & D toxoid vaccine, and then booster them again 3-4 weeks later. Lambs/kids from non-vaccinated mothers should be vaccinated at 1-3 weeks of age and receive at least two booster shots every 3-4 weeks, thereafter. All adult ewes and rams should have an annual booster with this vaccine. All adult goats should be vaccinated a minimum of twice a year. They require more frequent vaccination because they do not respond as well as sheep do to the vaccine. In problem flocks/herds, it may be necessary to vaccinate all pregnant ewes/does 4-6 weeks prior to parturition. This will help boost antibodies shed in the colostrum.
