Product Description:
This drug is an antibiotic effective against E. coli.Indications for Use: Use for scours and other infections.
Not approved for use in sheep and goats. Refer to extra-label drug use.
Dosage and Administration: This product should be administered to animals weighing less than 15 lbs. One pump should be given to animals less than 10 lbs. and two pumps should be given to animals weighing greater than 10 lbs. This amount should be given twice a day. Each pump delivers 50 mg of spectinomycin.
Duration of Treatment: If after 48 hours of treatment there is no improvement, additional diagnostics and treatments should be implemented. The product can be used for 3-5 days.
Packaging: This product comes in 240, 500, and 1000 mL bottles. Each mL contains 50 mg of spectinomycin.
Precautions and Side Effects: Do not use in animals older than 2 months of age.
Storage: This drug does not need refrigeration.
Milk Withholding: Not established for dairy animals.
Meat Withholding: Not established in sheep and goats. 21 days in pigs.
