Therabloat (Poloxalene)


Product Description: This is an oral drench that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the rumen. This product causes the bubbles and foam to dissipate, thus allowing the animal to eructate.

Indications for Use: Use in any situation where bloat is considered a problem.

Not approved for use in sheep and goats. Refer to extra-label drug use.

Dosage and Administration: Orally administer 5.5 mLs of Therabloat per 100 lbs. of body weight (4.5 g/100 lbs.). The Therabloat should be diluted with at least 1 pint of water and given by drenching or tube.

Packaging: The product comes in a 2 fl. oz. (60 mL) plastic bottle. Each ounce or 30 mLs generally contains 25 grams of poloxalene.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place.

Meat Withholding: None in cattle.
