Product Description:
This drug is a steroid (glucocorticoid) with anti-inflammatory properties.Indications for Use: Use when there is severe inflammation or pain from a variety of conditions (sprains, muscle damage, back pain, etc.).
Dosage and Administration: Give 0.6-1 mL per 10 lbs., IM or IV, once a day.
Duration of Treatment: Treat as long as symptoms persist, but do not exceed 4-5 days (see precautions).
Packaging: This product comes in a 2 mg/mL concentration, in a 100 mL bottle.
Precautions and Side Effects: Because all steroids cause suppression of the immune system, they should be used with caution in general bacterial or viral infections. They should be reserved for only the most severe bacterial infections where the life of the animal is in jeopardy and shock treatment is necessary. Steroids can also cause intestinal, stomach, and kidney damage. If bloody feces or urine is noted, discontinue use and consider anti-ulcer treatment. Do not use in conjunction with other steroids.
* This drug can cause abortions in pregnant animals.
Storage: Refrigeration is not required.
