Product Description: This is a product for the ear that contains an antibiotic (gentamicin sulfate), an anti-fungal (clortrimazole), and an anti-inflammatory agent (betamethasone).

Indications for Use: Otomax can be used in situations where the ear is infected (otitis externa) with bacteria and yeasts. It can also be beneficial in reducing inflammation in the ear.

Dosage and Administration: The product should be administered directly into the ear canal at a rate of 4 drops per ear, twice a day for dogs weighing less than 30 lbs. For dogs weighing greater than 30 lbs., a dose of 8 drops is recommended. This product is often administered after an ear cleaning product has been given.

Precautions and Side Effects: Otomax should not be given if the ear drum is broken. Caution should be used if this product is given to pregnant or older animals. Products containing gentamicin sulfate have been known to cause some ear problems in animals. This product should not contact the animal's eye and should only be used topically. No object should ever be inserted into the ear beyond where the eye can see.

Packaging: The product comes in 7.5 or 15 gram tubes and 30 or 15 gram bottles.

Storage: Otomax does not require refrigeration and should be kept at room temperature.
