Ear Cleaning and
Product Administration

Only products labeled for use in the ear should be administered. When administering these products, insert the tip of the bottle or tube only as far as the eye can see. Direct the liquid or cream towards the base of the ear and the ear canal.

 

Once the proper amount of liquid or cream has been given, massage the base of the ear. This will help to remove debris from the ear or distribute the medication. If an ear cleaning product has been used, it is safe to remove any debris that can be seen with the eye.

Note: In most situations, an ear cleaning product should be given before any ear treatment solutions.
