Product Description:
This is an oral tablet containing praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate. This tablet is active against tapeworms, hookworms, and large roundworms.Indications for Use: This product should be used in general internal parasite infections of cats and kittens. Drontal will eliminate infections of tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme), and large roundworms (Toxocara cati).
Dosage and Administration: Depending on the cat’s weight, different numbers of tablets need to be given. For example, a cat weighing 10 lbs. should receive 1.5 tablets. The proper weight of the pet and Drontal dose should be determined by a veterinarian before administration. One treatment is generally sufficient; however, re-infection often occurs. If this is the case, re-treatment is required.
Precautions and Side Effects: This product should NOT be used in kittens less than one month of age or in animals weighing less than 1.5 lbs.
