James Eric Israelsen, DVM

     Dr. Israelsen was born and raised in North Logan, Utah.  He is the eleventh (11th) of twelve (12) children, seven (7) boys and five (5) girls, and is an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
     Dr. Israelsen is married to Dr. Melinda A. Hillegass.  They met while attending veterinary school.  They were seated in study cubicles in alphabetical order, so Dr. Hillegass was just behind Dr. Israelsen.  While working together at a movie theater they fell in love and married August 12, 1994.  In the summer of 2000 Dr. Israelsen became a father to a little boy and he has loved every minute of it since then.
     Dr. Israelsen owns three (3) dogs, three (3) cats, and two (2) horses.  His favorite animals are mostly wild animals, cats and dogs.
      Dr. Israelsen graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in the spring of 1995 and has practiced at Valley Veterinary Clinic in Rainier, Oregon before buying Mountain View Veterinary Health Center on October 1,1997.

 

Melinda A. Hillegass, DVM

     Dr. Hillegass was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and raised in Iola, Kansas.  She is the youngest of four (4) children, two (2) sisters and one (1) brother.
     Dr. Hillegass is married to Dr. James E. Israelsen. They met while attending veterinary school.  They were seated in study cubicles in alphabetical order, so Dr. Hillegass was just behind Dr. Israelsen.  While working together at a movie theater they fell in love and married August 12, 1994.  In the summer of 2000 Dr. Hillegass became a mother to a little boy and she has loved every minute of it since then.
     Dr. Hillegass owns three (3) dogs, three (3) cats, and two (2) horses.  Her dog is a beautiful Doberman who has a very loveable personality.
     Dr. Hillegass graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in the spring of 1995.  She has practiced at Southeastern Portland Hospital (a 24 hour Emergency Clinic) in Portland, Oregon and Riverside Animal Hospital in Kelso, Washington before buying Mountain View Veterinary Health Center on October 1,1997.

 

Richard Israelsen, Practice Manager

     Richard was born and raised in North Logan, Utah.  He is tenth (10th) out of twelve (12) children, seven (7) boys and five (5) girls.  He is also an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
     He has one (1) cat, two (2) little children and a wife, so he is kept very busy with their different activities when he is not at work.
     Richard has been the Practice Manager since the clinic was bought in 1997.  He enjoys his job and is very excited about the improvements and projects that are in the future for the clinic.

 

Jennifer Allen, Administrative Assistant

     Jennifer Allen was born in Salt Lake City and raised in Layton, Utah.  She is the middle child of three (3) children; one (1) brother and one (1) sister.
     She has one (1) cat that lives with her parents, (1) one cat that lives outside and one (1) dog that lives outside also.  She has always loved animals and has a soft spot for cats.
     Jennifer has been with Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since August 2001 and has enjoyed every minute. She looks forward to all the challenges and projects that are planned for the future.

 

Melanie Peirce, Inventory Control

     Melanie was born and raised in Kearns, Utah. She is the youngest out of four (4) children, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
     She has two dogs, Sheba (Labrador/Pitbull cross) and Tyler (Nebolish Mastiff) and loves them very much. She just bought a house recently, so now they have lots of room to play and run around.
     She has worked at Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since September 2003 and her attention to detail and tenacity has been a great asset to the company.

 

Christene Olschewski, Clinic Improvement Specialist/Technician

     Christene has 2 sisters and she is the middle child. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.
     She has 4 cats, 2 dogs, 1 bird, 1 lizard, 1 turtle, 1 hedgehog, 1 fish = 11 total, so as you can see she has quite a zoo at her house.
     Christene is excited about the opportunity to continually improve the hospital's service for clients and she is attending school to become a veterinarian, hoping to specialize in animal behavior.

 

Anne Gardner, Receptionist/Technician

     Anne was born and raised in Provo, Utah.  She is the middle child out of five (5) children, two (2) brothers and two (2) sisters.
     She has a Doberman Pinscher named Macey that she adopted from a rescue association in October 2001.
      Anne is a graduate of USU in Bio Vet Science and she is applying to go to Veterinary school.  She loves animals and is really getting a good initiation into Veterinary Medicine at Mountain View Veterinary Health Center.

 

Karl Kallmeyer, Technician

     Karl was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado.  He is the middle child of three (3) children, one (1) brother and one (1) sister.
     Karl has a Ball Python named Monty and a cat named Tazzy back home in Colorado.
     Karl has been with Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since September 2000 and he is very good with the animals and enjoys working with them.

 

Margo Mark, Receptionist

     Margo was born in Logan, Utah and raised in Richmond, Utah. She is the 2nd of six (6) children, three (3) sisters and two (2) brothers.
       Margo has lots of animals (Afghan hounds, Irish Setters, Llasa Apsos,  Himalayan cats, Persian cats, Shaded Silver cats, Parrot, Cockateils, Love Bird and a 55 gallon aquarium with fish. Margo is a breeder of Afghans, Llasa Apsos, Himalayan cats, and Persian cats.
       Margo has been with Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since the end of May 2002.  She can answer most grooming questions, has done Lure Coursing for site hounds, she can give you information about different breeds of animals and she always has kittens and rescue dogs that are looking for homes.  She loves animals and people very much and is looking forward to taking care of everyone’s animals. 

 

Brooke Meikle, Technician / Receptionist

     Brooke was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  She is the oldest of three (3) children, two (2) brothers.     Brooke has three (3) cats, one (1) Bearded Dragon lizard, (1) one dog and three (3) children, so she has a very full house.  She has been around livestock and animals her whole life.
     Brooke has been with Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since October 2001 and she loves working with the animals, meeting clients and learning new things.

 

Travis White, Technician

     Travis was born and raised in Malad, Idaho. He is the third (3rd) out of four (4) children, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
     He currently doesn’t have any animals of his own, but he loves them all and really would like one and so would his two beautiful little girls. He is currently a student at USU and is studying Bio-Veterinary Science and is the Vice President of College of Agriculture.
     He has worked at Mountain View Veterinary Health Center since September 2003 and enjoys the challenge that his job brings on a daily basis.

 

Jesse Mae Baxter, Technician

     Jesse has four brothers and three sisters and 20 Neices and Nephews. She was born and raised in Elwood, Utah.
     She has a Palomino horse named Wildfire and dog named Freckles and many family animals. She also raises and shows sheep in the fair.
     I like to interact with of the clients and their pets and learn more about different diseases and sicknesses.

 

Stephanie Bleazard, Receptionist

     Stephanie has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She was born and raised in Declo, Idaho.
     She does not have any pets right now, so she really likes to play with the animals that come into the clinic.
     Stephanie likes meeting all the wonderful people and their cute animals when they come into the clinic.

 

Kearsten Harvey, Kennel/Custodial

     Kearsten has 4 sisters 1 brother (I'm the third child) She was born in Livermore, CA and lived there for six years before moving to Hyde Park where she has lived for the past 14 years.
     She has 6 horses, 2 cats and 1 dog and loves them all very much.
     Kearsten like the comfortable work atmosphere at Mountain View Veterinary Health Center and her co-workers and employers are great! I also love being around the animals and having the opportunity to work with them in this environment.

 

Brooke Koeven, Kennel/Custodial

     Brooke has 1 brother, 3 half brothers, 1 stepsister and 1 stepbrother. She was born in Ogden and raised here in Cache Valley.
     She has a dog, a cat, a horse and two little birds of a noisy nature. And I also get to spend quite a lot of time with my parent’s horse.
     Brooke loves everything about her job because she learns new things every day.

 

Robyn Larsen, Technician

     Robyn has 1 sister and lots of step siblings. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, but has recently moved to Logan.
     Robyn’s house is a zoo with 4 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit and fish, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.
     She loves her job because she has a severe passion for animals, and love to help them any way I can.

 

Kimberly Turner, Receptionist

     Kim has 3 older brothers. She was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. Then I moved to Pocatello, Idaho for 4 years to attend Idaho State University. Then moved to Logan almost a year ago, so my husband could attend U.S.U.
     Kim had one cat growing up and he lived for 17 years. I would like to have another pet, but for right now I will have to enjoy my 7 fishy friends.
     She enjoys interacting with all the animals that come in and getting to know the clients. Also, Kim and her husband just had a little baby boy on December 3, 2004!
